Overview

Northern Bear plc, the north east based support services group, was floated on AIM in December 2006 and currently has a market capitalisation of £15 million.

The company's principal activity is to acquire and operate mature building services businesses based in Northern England.

There are currently 13 businesses in the Northern Bear group which together employ over 500 people. Most of the businesses have been trading for many years and have a strong client base in the public sector and in the quality building industry.

All the businesses demonstrate consistent profitability, positive operating cash flow and have experienced management teams.

Northern Bear is actively seeking new acquisition opportunities.  It aims to become one of the main suppliers of specialist buildings services in Northern England through both acquisition and organic growth.

There will be continuing opportunities for growth driven by the need of owners of small, self contained, profitable businesses to realise all or part of their equity.
